Is Mealime shutting down?
Yes. Mealime’s website says the service shut down on October 21, 2026.
Is Pantry Buddy a meal planner like Mealime?
Not exactly. Mealime started from a weekly plan and built the grocery list from it. Pantry Buddy starts from what you already bought: it builds your pantry from your grocery receipt, tracks expiry dates and suggests recipes from what is on your shelves, so less food goes to waste.
Can I keep my own recipes?
Yes. Save and edit your own recipes in My Cookbook in the app, and add their missing ingredients to your shopping list in one tap.
Is Pantry Buddy free?
Pantry Buddy is free to download and the free plan covers the basics, including a few receipt scans every week. Premium adds unlimited scans, expiry reminders and restock alerts.
Does it work on Android?
Pantry Buddy is an iPhone and iPad app. You can also use your pantry and lists in the browser at pantrybuddy.co.
